基督宗教在教義與信仰上的特色有很多。最為人所知、同時是本論文所觸及的核心,即是對既一又三、既三又一的三一形式一神論始終不渝的堅持:既不能因其位不紊與本質不分(neque confundentes personas, neque substantiam seperantes),而成一位論(Unitarianism),亦不可因有一非三與無先後尊卑、永恆同等(non tres sed unus, nihil prius aut posterius, nihil maius aut minus, coaeternae et coaequales)而為三神論(Tritheism)。本文以神社議題為中心

,聚焦在政治與宗教的特殊氛圍與關係下,教會群體如何決斷與應對來自政治壓力的、會造成背教的宗教行動要求—於會堂內設置神道神龕與進行神道儀式。在當下的作與不作之間,以及在事後的說與不說之間,有什麼考量與不予考量?發生了哪些事?在哪些層面(未)產生了哪些衝突、影響與效應?(不)該╱可以怎麼(那麼)解釋?這些,形成了本論文的核心任務。首先,透過梳理背教於亞伯拉罕宗教經典(希伯來經文、希臘文經文與古蘭)裡的經文脈絡、基督宗教的神學詮釋以及教會史的考察,從啟示宗教裡的經文、信仰與歷史傳統裡辨識出背教概念與事實。接著,仔細檢視神道儀式與文化在《古事記》的源頭,以及於日本政治發展歷程若有似無、愈來愈鮮明的宗教
